Road trip to nona and nonno's in Maryland

Gabby and I wanted to visit my parents in Maryland before the kids started school.  My mother suggested I go for a whole week for some help and fun.  It was a really nice week.  We went to the zoo, pool, mall & Baltimore aquarium.  Lyla and Gab arrived on Thursday night Londyn was excited.  She was a bit of a brat this weekend, very bossy.  I assume a little bit of terrible 2's.  We took our first shower together and that's all she wants now.  She's getting so big!  The zoo said there were over 120 animals on the website, what a lame zoo probably about 30 the most.  All in all it was a nice get away & the help was tremendous.  My parents were thrilled to have us.  Now that the girls are in school we only have summers for weeks away.

Potty train - DAY 7

Day 7!!!!!! Not much of a success today but she still is wearing diapers and going 98% of the time.  Today she went for a walk with daddy and peed on pavers.  I understand sometimes she won't understand how far the potty is.  

Anyway this is my last post.  I hope to continue this good run and once she goes to school it will be OK.  I told her I will get her a gift once she completes this potty training.  She doesn't even seem to care or hold it to me.  Love this little one! 

Potty train - DAY 6

Today was a lot of work for mommy, daddy, aunt gabby and gonna.  We had another BBQ at Gab's and she was in and out of bathroom, probably the 10 juice boxes she was drinking.  But no mistakes today.  I'll take her to the bathroom anytime.

Londyn and Alyssa

Michelle and I have been trying to make sure Londyn and Alyssa get along.  They usually fight because they can't share.  Tonight was great they got along so well.  Londyn even said I have to go to the bathroom and Alyssa said I'll take you.  They went hand n hand into the bathroom before I was warned.  So cute.  I really love my friendship with Michelle so I hope this continues.

Potty train - DAY 5

Today was another success.  We had a BBQ at Michelle and Jim's and Londyn and Alyssa was really cute.  Londyn said I have to go potty and Alyssa said I'll take you and they went in together.   

Potty train - DAY 4

We had a mistake she went to bathroom then came back and asked me to come with her and then it was too late.  After I gave her a bath she was on the phone with Josh I asked her to tell daddy what happened.  As she is looking at me she says I peed MOM.  The pee down her leg.  I get upset but feel bad because some kids wouldn't even train this easy.  I am very luck with this girl.

Get me out of the house!!  Gabby wanted to take the girls someplace before school started so nona watched Preslie.  Londyn is usually scared of the animals but it wasn't so bad.  It was a nice day at the turtle back zoo.

Crayola factory

Thank God for the baby-sitter willing taking Londyn out for the day.  Today was the crayola factory.  It's nice to have just a day with Preslie so if I am tired I get to sleep.  It looks like it was a fun time.  They made arts and crafts and learned how to make markers and crayons.

Potty train - DAY 3

DAY 3 SUCCESS!!!! I'm a little concerned about nights but I was told that eventually they will not go to the bathroom for hours at night and learn on their own.  I can't do much until she gets her big girl room anyway.

Potty time - DAY 2

Today was good.  She only had 1 mistake and I blame it on Josh.  He probably isn't like me asking over and over do you have to go potty.  She pooped in her bathing suit.  Otherwise she had no problem going all day on the potty.

Potty time 2 years 4 months - DAY 1

So it's official, time to start potty training.  Londyn will be in school in a couple of weeks and not they won't take her if she isn't but better for them.  Also the cost of buying 2 boxes of diapers, dumb.  I'm not entirely sure how a working mother and father does this so I was happy to be home to train her.  I told her while I was pregnant that the store is running out of diapers for her and only Preslie will wear them because she is a big girl.  Although we didn't finish the box I knew it was time.  We got this great seat for the toilet that fits her little tush.  She would love to get the stool and go.  Right when I put on the big girl panties she was all for it.  She never wanted a treat just a high five was good for her.  Let's hope this works!!

Side note - She has been going since she was 1 1/2 but she slowed down.  Now she is 2 years 4 months

Art and Crafts with mom

So I had this enormous amount of guilt that poor Londyn is stuck in the house while new be Preslie has arrived.  I went to Michael's one night not only to get out of the house but to buy some arts and crafts for Londyn.  First day we made some cookies, that was fun and quick. Then I got some painting stuff and coloring frames and we even made daddy a plate.  This also went by so fast.  I think she was more entertained with changing into a different outfit every 1/2 hour.
