Happy Halloween my lil lady bug!

Well I guess being a lady bug was the it things this year, all ages.  Lyla, Londyn, Chloe, Alyssa and half of the kids I saw on Halloween.  We all decided to go around Linden to trick- or-treat.  Glad that her costume was nice and warm because I was freezing.  Not many people were home but overall it was a nice afternoon.  We took lots of pictures, what else is new, I hope I can keep up with that if I have another baby.
After trick or treating we stopped by Ailet's mother's house to say our last good byes.  Ailet I wish you all the best but I'll miss you a lot! xoxoxo

Pumpkin picking

Today was a beautiful day at Terhune Orchards in Princeton, NJ.  The morning was very cold so Josh, Londyn and I bundled up, to get there and realize how hot it was probably mid 70's.  Londyn went on a hay ride (without hay) and we say some animals.  The drive through Princeton was beautiful so we said we would make this spot a tradition every fall.

Here are some pictures of our day.

* worried wednesday *

Today was Londyn's 6 month check up and it didn't go as smooth as it usually does.  She got her monthly shots, was weighted and measured.  The doctor came in said weight was good 13 lbs 4 oz 10th percentile and height 24 3/4 25 percentile which I assume means she will be skinny and short.  Then she got to her head size and it went up 1" 1/4 from the last appointment at 4 months.  She seemed concerned that it got a little too big so she re took it and it was 17 1/4.  She went from consistent 25-50% to 75-90% and even thought her head size looked big.  So as a concerned and clueless mother I asked OK so what does that mean?  She said it could be nothing, it could be genetics and worst case is she can have water in her head.  So just to be on the safe side to come back before 9 months for her to see the progress.  The look on my face must have said it all because she said you look a little concerned maybe I will just send you to the pediatrician neurologist for him to make sure everything is ok.  Well I left there upset and yes I cried.  I thought of all the negative that could happen and then I started to google, after what I found I stopped.  I called my friend who is a doctor and got advice from him.  I called my mother and mother in law to see if Josh or myself had a bigger head but we didn't.  The first appointment I got was in 2 weeks so I have to wait for 2 weeks for an answer.  The more people I tell the more I hear that this to has happened to them and their kids were fine.  Some of the symptoms I read online Londyn didn't have.  I'm sure it's fine but I just worry and pray everything will be ok.

I thought it was so funny and cute while Londyn was waiting for nurse to get her shots she was ripping up the paper, she was losing her patience.

Londyn Christening

Today was Londyn Scarlett Christening.  We had a really nice day and I was secretly happy it was over. I did a lot of work by myself but it was all worth it.  It will probably be the last time I make cupcakes for the favors.  Anything that is edible is hard to do way in advance so I was baking the night before and putting them in the boxes the morning of.  Thanks to Sarah Jay for bringing the center pieces and favors to the restaurant before the baptism.  I want to thank her Godparents Steve and Gabriella for accepting and being there for their niece.  For my mother for making her beautiful gown she will cherish that forever and hopefully pass it onto her children.  My family and friends for attending and Londyn for being awake through the service and happy the whole day, she really is a great baby.  I didn't get a good picture with just her in her Christening gown so I am going to get professional pictures done so stayed tuned for those.

Wow babies do grow up so fast I can't believe it has been 1/2 year already!!
I'm not sure of Londyn stats because her well visit is next Wednesday but here are some of the new things Londyn is doing, I feel like everyday she is changing.

  • She loves making noises with her mouth
  • She rolls over and back like it's nothing
  • She sits up pretty good, sometimes falls but is being such a big girl
  • At night she would roll over and cry for me to put her back, now she likes to sleep on her belly
  • She loves petting her dog Murphy
  • She is getting to know her name or when you say daddy or mommy is coming home she gets excited
  • Her hair is getting redder and growing
