Caribbean Cruise 2011

I want to start off by saying sorry that I have been missing for so long.  I'm not sure how I use to keep up with the blog but it's been so busy now.  So I hope to make time for this because this is something I want Londyn to have and I think it will be really special to give her one day.

So back to June 6-12.  Originally we were supposed to all go to Italy as a family to go to my cousin Cristina & Angelo wedding. With the economy being so bad and prices rising the tickets went up to $1600 round trip p PERSON.  We all decided to maybe save up and go next summer to see our family.  So with all the excitement of going away we decided to go on a Caribbean cruise.  June 13th was my parents 40th anniversary so that was another reason for us all to get away.  This would be Londyn first time on a plane & away from home.  We flew to Puerto Rico and went to St Thomas, Barbados, St Kitts, St Lucia & St Maarten.  It was a perfect vacation with fun and relaxation.  I will say going on family vacations now isn't like it use to be.  My idea of relaxing is swimming, drinking and tanning at the beach.  But with a baby you have to be on 24/7.  Either way I loved seeing Lyla and Londyn together.  They just really love each other and seeing that smile on Lo face is priceless.  It also was great to be with her for a full week at this age.  She is 14 months still not walking but she is trying so hard.  She loved the water but hated the sand.  If any out of those 2 that's exactly what I would pick, we can't have a baby that is scared of water.
I was so stressed about the plane ride.  I didn't want to be that family with the screaming child.  We woke her up at 4 so you would think she would fall asleep at take off.  I was told to get her a new toy and don't introduce it until we took off.  She was really cute coloring and didn't cry until we took off.  That didn't last too long then she fell asleep.  On the way home she passed out for 3 hours and since it was so late I told Josh we need to get her up or else we are never going to sleep at night.  So all in all it was great.  Around the 6th day Londyn got her third tooth and another was coming in.  So that was a little obstacle but she is always a trooper about it.  The entertainment was great I'm still not sure why we all sat in the front seat at the comedy show to get ripped on each time.  The dance shows was cute Londyn really liked the singing and dancing as she clapped along.
St Maarten was my favorite! The island is made up of a Dutch side and a French side.  It's built up and not as dirty as some of the other places we went to.  The beach was beautiful & I think one day I would like to take a family trip there.  Here are some pictures, not all of course but a lot from this great vacation.  Gabby and I made t shirts for the girls with my parents wedding picture on it that said Happy 40th Anniversary Nonna & Nonno, it was really cute.

Enjoy the pictures! Can't wait for our next vacation.

Memoral Day 2011

Another year same house.  Well first it was a stop at the Roberts.  The Freitas's always know how to throw a BBQ.  I'm starting to feel really bad, I hate entertaining but everyone always entertains us.  I hope to have something before the summer is over but it didn't even start yet.  Here are some pictures it was a good time.

Happy Mother's Day

Wishing every mother a happy mother's day.  Being a mother is the hardest but most rewarding job ever, I don't know what I did without my little baby.  I hope to raise Londyn just as perfect as my mother did, LOVE you mom!  Also thanks to my mother in law for raising such a perfect son, well no one is perfect but I love him.

BBQ Fun

Today was a fun day at the Freitas's.  They had us over for a BBQ and then a walk to the Springfield festival.  Alyssa is the cutest and Londyn and her are going to be BFF's soon.  Londyn just needs to start walking so they can play more.
